Best "Stretch" Line of the Day

Hillary Clinton said again Monday that no Democratic presidential candidate can win without a primary victory in West Virginia. "... because it’s a fact that Democrats don’t get elected president unless West Virginia votes for you…”

Since every primary season in the past was long decided before any West Virginian got near a ballot box, and the candidate got WV by default, this is definately a big stretch of the truth. The same could be said of any Republican as well.

Agree with you. When I read this I thought Hillary is really desperate!

Um, she said elected president, not nominated Democrat candidate.

You guys sound like a little kid in the dark
She's heading to the convention with momentum and a lead in the popular vote.
That should be plenty of justification for the super delegates to publicly announce the candidate decided last year

And the best Pundit line of the night:

Interviewer: "So give me the headline for tommorrow morning."

Pundit: "Hillary Wins Big. Who Cares."

West Virginia is unimportant in the big picture.

Did you watch Brit Hume's coverage as the polls closed? He couldn't have been more bored if he was covering the National Paint Drying championships.

Nope. Didn't watch any of them. I thought this was as unimportant as the National Laminating Contest.

I was working on trying to get a new car. Montero is finally .

You can probably find some stat about just about any state - but that stat is almost 100%. In elections a Democrat has won, WVa has always voted for the Democrat - except once. When Wilson ran, in 1916, and it was a close election.

Also, WVa has picked the general election winner 28 out of 36 times, which actually isn't as great as it sounds, since the winner usually wins the most states anyway.
