Again... where are the outraged cries of the Democrats of how sexual conduct is a personal matter and has no place in politics??? If the statements that the Democrats made in regards to Clinton's actions are to be taken as being legitimate, the Dems need to get loud about how wrong it is for Arnold's opponents, whoever they may be, to attack him based on his sexual activities.

Don't hold your breath. This sort of hypocrisy is not only typical, it would be surprising if it was absent.

To wit:

Lefties bring up a 30-year old DUI of Bush's, in which no one was injured, and which was totally adjudicated with Bush fulfilling all the requirements of the law. But they never even mention Teddy Kennedy's vehicular homicide for which he wasn't ever even indicted! Even though a woman died!

Lefties claim to be oh-so concerned about women's rights. But they assisted Clinton in dismantling the lives and reputations of several women because they accused him of misbehavior he obviously committed -- including rape.

Lefties claim to be oh-so in favor of the First Amendment -- free speech -- as well as the right to dissent. But when their House Minority Leader, Dick Gephart votes with President Bush on Iraq -- voting his conscience instead of the party line for once in his life -- he is drummed out of his leadership role in the Democratic Party.

Civil rights? Yeah, right. They figuratively lynch any black official who tries to escape the plantation of the Democratic Party -- witness Clarence Thomas, Colin Powell and Condoleeza Rice.

Look at America's intelligence agencies. Lefties bemoan our vulnerability prior to 9-11 ("What did the President know and when did he know it?") yet they themselves nearly dismantled the CIA in the Senate in the 1970's. Frank Church chaired the committee. In fact, they made it unlawful for the FBI and the CIA to exchange info on criminals or subversives. Still, knowing this, the lefties disingenuously asked in the aftermath of 9-11 why the intelligence agencies broke down -- when they themselves were responsible.

I could go on all day. What a pack of seething hypocrites.

Hypocrisy is annoying and the Democrats have built their whole party around it. That's probably why they no longer control the House, Senate or White House.

That statement alone supports the notion both sides are hypocrits.

How many Democrats have resigned for reasons of personal accountability for their actions? Don't strain your brain too much as I can't remember a single one. We've lost a Speaker of the House and a Senate Majority Leader because they walked the walk rather than just talk the talk.

The reason that I think the use of attacks on "sexual character" in the CA race such a big deal is that every Liberal on this site has used the defense that sex has no place in politics to inform us ignorant, back-woods, Conservatives that we're out of line for attacking Bill Clinton. If Democrats really, in their heart of hearts, believe that then they should be up in arms about what's happening in CA. And if they aren't up in arms, then all of their statements about sex meaning nothing are nothing but a way for them to justify and accept Clinton's behavior for themselves.
