Well, it's a question asked by the candidates all the time - "are you better off now than...?" And they mean "you" as in each person, right?

I'm better off now, too, BTW. And I agree with Vrai. I am happy that Saddam is gone, I'm glad that we are fighting the war over THERE and not here. I'm all for keeping taxes lower (tax cuts in place).

I also look ahead at the next 8 years and I am fairly certain a SCOTUS Justice or 2 will retire and/or pass away. I think at this time in our country's history, it would be detrimental to have a liberal-leaning court for 20-30 years. Obama & Clinton will NOT be appointing judges who are strict-constructionists. That's a major criteria for choosing the presidential candidate for me.

The only thing that is clear in any of the arguments on this thread is that neither of these two pieces of #### running are worth the effort it takes to go to the polls and vote.

What a ####ing disaster the next 4 years is going to be with Pelosi and Reid leading either of these two dingbats around by the nose, or in Obama's case the ears.
