I don't get what his meaning of that snippet means.

Am I supposed to care what someone in Paraguay thinks about what I drive? Am I supposed to live my life based on having the approval of someone in Serbia or Poland?

What you're SUPPOSED to do is not drive your SUV, eat your fill or heat your house so that it will inspire other countries to do the same.

And it's thoughts like those that ensure no plan he ever conceives of will ever pass the Congress. Now think about McCain's more "moderate" views on global warming... those will pass.

Based on our conversation last week, and this post, can I assume that your hope is that someone really, really crappy will be elected (the worst of the group, by far), so that they will create a marginalized, impotent office of the presidency and our country can be run by Pelosi and Reid? Is Obama going to pass laws that ban SUV's, eating more than 1200 calories a day and if you are caught with a thremostat set to below 76 in the summer and over 65 in the winter you can be jailed?
