Sen. Robert Byrd endorses Obama

Byrd, 91, a master of Senate rules and Iraq war foe, has spent much of his political career repenting the racism of his youth. He's acknolwedged having joined the Ku Klux Klan in 1942, and campaigned against civil rights legislation in the 1960s.

It seems a bit strange that the people of West Virginia overwhelmingly endorsed Hillary ,but the old Kluxer is going for Obama.

I guess the handwriting is on the wall, Obama is the party favorite and God forbid that old Byrd go against the party.

Yep, he's the Dems Golden boy now that they see Hillary is out.

I just want to point out that if a former KKK member had endorsed John McCain, we'd have never heard the end of it.
