Well, when you get told something and you forget it, or you confuse it, that generally means you forgot or confused something. So why is pointing it out criticism? It's just a statement of fact. Actually, I picked up the link because I was hoping that he would repeat that link as I honestly never saw it as I honestly usually just skip his posts... and yours as well.

Bann just copied your post and the link originally showed up as an arrow linking to your post, but since Boardmommy has direct linking to pictures on the forums blocked, it filtered out the original link and aarow gif and just created a link to the picture.

As usual... the devil in your posts is in the details. John McCain never released his service records. The Associated Press received excerpts of his record following a FOIA request. By all accounts the only parts of his records that were released were his commendation and awards pages. No FITREPS, no disciplinary actions, no details of his time as a POW or his behavior after being a POW. All of the information about his time as a POW, with the exception of the boilerplate write-up for his Silver Star and his medal for refusing to come home early are all that's been provided.

As to McCain's POW information, that information, and all other information on POWs, that information was to have been released by HR 3603 The Truth Accountability bill. It passed unanimously in the House, but McCain and (drum roll please) John Kerry blocked it in committee in the Senate. Later, McCain got his own bill, The McCain Bill, passed and that ensured that no POW information that key people did not released would get released. Looking at the McCain Act info I have found, it looks like it was intended to only protect information on POWs and MIAs still missing after 1991, but the fine print of the bill ends up protecting info on all POWs.
