| Here's another interesting bit of video. It shows McCain challenging Dolores Alfond about her comments about a trip that retired General John Vessey made to Vietnam as President Bush's emissary to Vietnam. He is trying to convince her that General Vessey's report that all POWs have been returned is the final word, and she isn't buying it. He also gets upset that she is challenging Vessey's credibility. You can see how mad and upset he gets throughout the hearing, and then he storms off. McCain belittles Dolores Alfond « McCain’s Taunts, Insults & Recklessness But here's some additional background info: POW/MIA Evidence & Stats Take a look at all the incidences and reports of POWs still being alive by early 1992, and ask yourself if you would be willing to accept a report that categorically denied men were still being held, with said report being based on "evidence" provided to Vessey by the Vietnemese? This isn't Daily Kos or Move On crap, this is peices by the Washington Times, WSJ, congressional testimony, etc. But there is McCain saying the matter is closed, that all the POWs have been accounted for, that all the families have closure and "are grateful and happy"... yeah, right! I guess that's why a year later, Clinton orders Vessey back to Vietnam to reopen talks on MIA/POW remains and missing persons. |

And, as expected, comes the reply that you're just talking out your ass. You have no idea if the story is true or not, but in your mind it isn't. That's fair enough, but at least be honest and say "In my opinion..." or "I think..." instead of stating your personal opinion as a documented fact. | |

| Strung Out | Well... ...start a thread. What's of interest? I think it's pretty much accepted that the Bush WH was more interested in justifying the crusade rather than avoiding war. I think it's clear what happened in the Plame case. I think it's clear that Bush is not what many people were expecting.
