Obama's associations may haunt bid

Obama's associations may haunt bid

"SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) Who's Tony Rezko? William Ayers? Few Americans know, but they probably will by Election Day. "

The Washington Times Obama's associations may haunt bid

The Tony Rezko association has already been investigated and there's nothing there that's even grey. As for Ayers, Wright, etc., Republicans hate them, Democrats love them, so there's no real gain there. There's going to be one association that will have an impact, and that's going to be Keating, and that's not going to hurt Obama.

Nope, not grey at all Most everyone pays just over a million and a half for a two million dollar piece of land, and then just over 100,000 for property that 6 months earlier was bought for well over 600,000. Certainly that doesn't look at all like a million dollar (total) bribe by the seller, who just happens to be under indictment, and the buyer, who happens to be a state senator! How could that be grey in any way?

FTA: "Antonin Tony" Rezko is a businessman who has helped raise campaign money for Mr. Obama and many other Illinois politicians. He was convicted Wednesday on 16 of 24 counts involving mail fraud, wire fraud, money laundering and aiding and abetting bribery.

The charges have no connection to Mr. Obama, but Rezko is tied to the Illinois senator in other ways."

Ooh, Keating 5. That's going into the way back machine of 1989 for a scandal.

And every state senator can afford that kind of house payment, too.

Not just "helped raise money for", but "member of finance committee". Rezko was on Barry's staff.

The only other man I know who started ,supposedly with very little and made so much in such a short amount of time was Bill Clinton.

Did they make it the same way?

I am in the wrong business. I should have been a politician the rewards are MUCH greater.

And the retirement plan is outstanding! I think it's something like $15k/month/life after one term, Representative or Senator.
