Also, if you look at the picture, you will see Harkin, Clinton, Richardson, and Obama all with their backs to the flag... which is a no-no during the playing of the national anthem. You are always supposed to face the flag when you render honors, not have your back to it.

As for flagpins, he has said that he didn't wear one as he felt it conveyed a false sense of patriotism. I tend to agree with that as it makes me nauseous to see a bunch of America-hating Dems wearing flagpins in an attempt to show their love for America... yeah right.

Anybody know why Senator McCain didn't wear a flag pin during the debate?

I'm NOT in the tank for either one - haven't made up my mind yet. Just seems strange that such an issue was made over it with Senator Obama that I would have thought someone would have mentioned it when Senator McCain didn't have one on. Honestly it's a little thing for me whether or not either one ever wears one - I would have thought that Obama's people would have made a huge issue over it considering though.

Well, I left out the “sarcasm” smilie. I did notice McCain not wearing the flag pin and Obama wearing his and thought it was a curious change. Maybe they both agreed to do this to show wearing or not wearing the pin has nothing to do with the issues. Maybe it had more to do with lighting and position on the stage. Maybe McCain’s caused a glare and Obama’s didn’t. . I’m not sure if either is an attempt to make any sort of statement at all. Who knows. It wasn’t even a blip on the media radar.

Now my bias is going to come through a bit… Obama’s lack of wearing the pin during that time was in addition to his not placing his hand over his heart during the pledge, the Rev. Wright controversy and the discovery of his ties to William Ayres. I don’t think we can find any sort of connection with McCain. To me this makes it a bit debatable about the difference between McCain and Obama’s level of patriotism. I’m not saying Obama is unpatriotic. I am saying he has questionable ties with people that have documented anti-American sentiments.

Obama is an anti-American terrorist. Hopefully, someone will put a bullet through his head if he's elected.
Hopefully not.
the Man holding the office of president is not granted respect just because he has the title, but the office itself and what it stands for does demand respect.
In four short years the presdient can be booted out and the Office restored.

an attack on any president, even a mis-elected terrorist that hates the American people, is an attack on what should be the most respected office in the world.

Deep down however, I do have a fear that some serious nut job is going to take a crack at him. maybe more than once. Look for presidential security like we have never seen before. Maybe Bin Laden will lead be given the job of head of security.

now, seeing him pulled from the office in leg irons and answering to a military court would certainly be within the parameters of respect for the office.

If he wins, he must be tolerated until such a time that he can be legally using the laws of our constitution, removed from office screaming like a little black child in the cold trying to get back in the house while his mommy services for crack money.

Flag pins are an option, this is not during the playing of the national anthem!!!

And I'm sure McCains wife has been proud of America her whole life...
