I've seen kookier things posted on these very forums. Ironically, you have been responsible for a good percentage of them.

Yes but in her case, is she born on a US military base or out in town? Either way she's a US citizen but is she eligible to run for POTUS? McCain was born to a US military member in a US territory on a US base so he's covered. What happens when someone is born overseas to a US military member but they're born in a civilian facility which isn't "US soil" like a base would be? Is that treated differently as far as running for POTUS?

Yes she was born on a US Military Base and even if she was born in a hospital off base, she is still the child of 2 US Citizens, thus is a US citizen herself. The only difference would have been that we would of had to take her Japanese issued birth certificate to the US Embassy and have another birth certificate certified by the State Department. So again yes she is eligible to run for POTUS...

Secrecy over birth certificate, demand for 'natural-born' citizenship cited

Bloggers are raising questions about Illinois Sen. Barack Obama's qualifications to be U.S. president, because of the secrecy over his birth certificate and the requirement presidents be "natural-born" U.S. citizens.

Jim Geraghty, reporting on The Campaign Spot, cited the "unlikely" but still circulating rumor that Obama was born not within the United States, but elsewhere, possibly Kenya.

Geraghty defined the concerns most clearly, stating: "If Obama were born outside the United States, one could argue that he would not meet the legal definition of natural-born citizen … because U.S. law at the time of his birth required his natural-born parent (his mother) to have resided in the United States for '10 years, at least [f]ive of which had to be after the age of 16.'"

Is Obama's candidacy constitutional?

Even if Obama was born in Hawaii, it may be possible that his birth certificate would document the "religion" at birth. Maybe that is what is being kept secret. ???
