What's on Obama's shoe? Did he step in something?

Maybe a little

Gateway Pundit: Bummer. Obama Caught In a Major Lie In Very First Election Ad

"That's why I passed laws moving people from welfare to work... cut taxes for working families... extended healthcare for wounded troops that had been neglected (Public Law 110-181). I approve of this message because I'll never forget those values."

Barack Obama
"The Country I Love"
First General Election Ad

http://bp1.blogger.com/_L6pDyjqqsvY/...try+i+love.JPG

Obama says that he "extended healthcare for wounded troops that had been neglected" and cited Public Law 110-181 as proof of this.

The problem is: Obama didn't show up to vote. Only 9 senators voted the bill down or did not show up to vote.

Obama was one of the 9.

The bill passed the senate 91 to 3... without Obama's vote.

So, will CNN, ABC, FOX, NBC, CBS, and PMSNBC call him out on it?

LOL, great comment from one of the blogs...

If you don't have a record to run on, Just make one up! But as we all know, Obama doesn’t have much value at all when it comes to his experience or integrity. So the only way he has left to sell himself to the American public is to exaggerate his accomplishments.

He could have said it was an opinion piece and ignore it. Trouble is, THOMAS confirms it (Damn George Bush for not visiting New Orleans sooner, that would have prevented everything)

Of Course it's George Bush's fault because the weather guessers who showed the track 5 days in advance were a bad source!!! And Mayor Ray Nagin and former Governor Kathleen Blanco of Louisiana are exempt from their absolute crappy leadership when you can keep pointing the finger up!!!

They showed the storm would hit the Florida panhandle, as a category 2 (at max) hurricane.

Nobody, except those of us who know these storms explode when they get in the gulf, saw it exploding into a monster. By that time, it was too late to get a good enough evacuation going.

When I saw it turn to the south over Florida, I knew it was going to be big.

Would, say, living in a Gulf Coast city maybe make one of those "who know these storms explode when they get in the gulf"?

How many DAYS in advance of hitting N.O. did it turn to the south over FL? When you knew?

The main problem was the lack of leadership in the state, mainly the governor, with the mayor not doing anything to help his people either. The fed doesn't just jump into each and every natural occurance that puts people out of their homes unless the states ask for it. That's one of those funny "law" thingies that governors get to learn about. Should FEMA have offered, or helped them learn earlier? Yeah, probably. But, the governor was the root cause of no leadership, not the fed.

I'm not saying the state effed up. Kathleen Blanco inerjected personal politics ahead of saving human lives - and I still think she should be brought up on charges of corruption.

I watched New Orleans' CBS station for days in advance of the big one. The forecasts they were being given were misleading. Category 2, Florida panhandle. It wasn't until it became a major hurricane on Saturday that they started talking major storm, and they were still talking minimal threat to NOLA. Finally, Sunday morning. Katrina exploded into a killer category 5. That's when the city and state started to aknowledge this storm was going to be bad. They kept saying "Camille" and "Ivan." By the time the proper leadership acted, it was too late to do anything.

If our weatherman says Category 3 hurricane will hit Virginia and give us rain showers that's it, what would you do?

MSNBC had very good coverage of this event, hours before the storm. They were dead-on about the storm surge.

This was the storm track even 2 days out and New Orleans was always in the danger circle 5 days out. Almost any Cat 2 storm will increase to a Cat 3-5 once it hits the warm Gulf waters...

Sh!t with just 24 hours I would have been at least 3 states away!!!
