Funny, though, how they're blaming "low-level staffs" for spreading this. All the head Dems are obviously all on the same page.

Brian Wolff, the DCCC’s executive director, said that some of the “supposed arrogance” coming from the Obama camp is in reality a misinterpreted sense of confidence in the campaign’s plan for winning the Oval Office, including grass-roots mobilization, in-state political infrastructure, messaging and get-out-the vote operations.

“They have to set the tone, and they are setting the tone,” Wolff said. “Arrogance is sometimes mistaken for competence. I think having a real competent approach to your campaign, whether it’s field [operations] or politics, or overall message, I think it’s really important. ... They’re really doing a really good job at this.”

If I'm not mistaken - Dubya was considered an arrogant, red-neck dunce. But Obamamessiah's arrogance exudes confidence & competence.

Freudian slip? I think not, because it is stating teh current situation. The dude is arrogant to a fault.

Extremely so. He has been elected and re-elected to the highest office in the nation, he has avoided major personal scandal despite the best efforts of his political enemies, he has responded appropriately to a major, unanticipated crisis which his predecessor left him. Yes, I'd say that is much more competent than a failure-to-launch, 20-something who still lives with his parents and who remains in an entry-level custodial job.
