this scares me!

The law is now firmly established as a powerful instrument of public health.1 Some of the most important public health victories in the United States in the past century — declining lead exposure, reduced rates of smoking, improvements in workplace and motor vehicle safety, and increased vaccination rates — are the result of new legislation, heightened regulatory enforcement, litigation, or a combination of the three.2

People like me are not fat due to over eating. I am fat because of medical reasons. So are they going to keep me from eating at a restaurant just because I'm fat??? That is UFB!!! I thought this was a free country, it's rapidly becoming a dictatorship!

Just to be clear. I'm not questioning that vaccinations may be good, or that eating well is preferable to establish/maintain good health. It's the extention of this that concerns me, for instance the Portland, Maine middle school that is giving birth control pills to 11-14y/o girls. (big news last fall)

That's why you can stop after one stalk of broccoli, but must finish the whole bag of Fritos. Addiction.

I'm glad the government is here to save me from myself. Lord knows what I might do if Uncle Sam wasn't looking out for me.

I really don't care why anyone is fat, or not fat. I want the government to tell everyone what they should ingest and inhale, how to dress, where to live, etc.

It's my wife's and my mother's fault.

My Mother always taught me to eat everything on my plate and my wife keeps putting too much on it.
