Look it's the sarcastic b*stard who, if he would read this entire boring thread, would realize that I was responding to Imno only because he was felt the need to educate me. I merely returned the favor.

You go boy!

Years? Is it years?

show me one black run country,, hell, even city thats doing well.[/QUOTE

I don't have an answer for you but I don't think he's going to be elected either. I think there are too many people like you in this country that will not see beyond the color of his skin and if I'm being unfair in my assessment of your thoughts I apologize. You used HNIC in several posts. I'm not trying to start something with you - you're entitled to think the way you think - but were you just trying to be funny or in your mind do you still think "N" when you see black people? Should Obama be elected - do you think you have reasons to fear because of his policies or his color?

Spoken like a true Liberal. You have such little faith in your candidate, you have to start throwing blame elsewhere.

p.s. I dont think he's going to be elected, either. But not for the reasons you think.

You're wrong. I have faith in him but that doesn't mean I think he's going to win, it merely means that I support what he stands for. Isn't that why we vote - not because we think someone will win but that we hope they will, we believe in them. I have very little faith in voters as a whole; I mean you have people voting for McCain that can't stand him but they're still voting for him and I don't understand why. You have Democrats that won't vote for Obama because he's not Hillary, you have people here in Southern Maryland that cannot fathom putting a black person in the White House, I have friends that whisper "black" when talking about someone's attitude, or a promotion, or fairness. I don't think he's going to win the election, I do think his color is going to play a huge role in that decision, you're right, not everything, but probably more than enough to contribute. It's an undercurrent and people probably won't admit it - very few really WANT to be seen that way. Will I personally be saying that racist America prevented this, seriously doubt it, people are what they are, warts and all. You know what though, no matter who wins, it's not the end of the world, this country will survive.

I am curious about bcp and the HNIC remark though. I wonder where it came from, he's younger than I am and even though I was little when "colored" was used, I never, not even once, uttered the "N" word.

My son had a seizure early this morning and I'm really tired - so I'm outta here for the day and quite honestly tired of this back and forth - I think I'll make a pact with myself to agree to disagree with you. Have a nice Sunday.

But, discussing politics is a lot of back & forth - that's what it is. There's always going to be more than one side to any issue, the debating of it all, etc.

I'm sorry about your son. I hope everything turns out well for him.

You are the one that didnt understand what the meaning of cant shine a tennis shoe meant ,you looked at Google and didnt find it ,so in effect you asked to be educated. Now instead of thanks I get tutored in the use of English.

I certainly didnt feel the need to educate you. I thought I was responding to your appeal as to what the phrase meant. Obviously you would rather be sarcastic and beligerent ,than to respond intelligently, but thats a typical liberal trait and I suppose we should just take that for granted in your future posts and take them for what they are worth, which is usually very little.

I find it funny that YOU should call someone a sarcastic B*stard ,and the thread we are in boring, when you spend so much of your valuable dish washing time reading and responding .

Yeah but it takes nasty twists and turns and I get a little pissed off and I've been told (mostly by men) that I'm like a lot of females - when I get pissed off I don't know when to shut up. So I'm shutting up for awhile and staying out of the politics threads. Anyhoo.....

Thanks for your concern about my son. On top of all of his other issues, he has epilepsy.

Whatever Imno. I knew exactly what CAN'T shine a tennis shoe meant even though I DIDN'T find it in google, but like the majority of what you say, it was just so out of place, like you're not thinking - gee does this make sense, you're just mouthing off. (I see my tutoring didn't take and I DIDN'T get thanked either) (Like all of us typical liberals I'm being sarcastic and BELLIGERENT you know not at all like the majority of the forum including republicans) (Damn - there I go again being sarcastic).

I called MMDad Sarcastic B*stard because I thought that's what he called himself at one time or another, I must be getting him confused with someone else. My bad. He's not a sarcastic b*stard at all. Sorry.
