Actually, I noticed the similarity when I was looking for the source of the cheesecake photo - I went to google images, typed in "sarah palin stiletto" (like the shoes in the cheesecake photo) and one of the first hits was the picture from the charity event, showing off her footwear. Then it struck me to compare her feet in the charity event photo to the cheesecake shot - and they sure look like the same (rather gnarly) toes in both sets of footwear.

Like I said, it was happenstance the way it unfolded, but once I realized what I had stumbled across, I just *had* to know if those were the same toes.
