Newest Palin Scandal - She Owns Tanning Bed!

On the campaign trail, Sarah Palin likes to brag about how she put the Alaska state jet on eBay and fired the governor's personal chef. One item that doesn't appear in her stump speech, however, is the personal tanning bed Palin had installed in the governor's mansion.

This morning NarcoNews reported that that a tanning bed had been installed in the governor's official residence in 2007, sourcing a Department of Transportation employee familiar with renovations at the mansion. This evening, Politico's Ben Smith reported that Palin had paid for the tanning bed with her own money.

A tanning bed? Well, I guess between working out, being a hockey mom, a wife, a soon to be grandmother, a Governor, cooking meals, cleaning house, helping w/homework, grocery shopping and flying between this city and that city, every woman needs to tan. When you have a job that pays you 6 figures, I would imagine you can afford a tanning bed.

You would want one too when there are less than 5 hours on sunlight at times:

Alaska FAQ: Summer is a time of long days. Above the Arctic Circle, the day can be 24 hours long or months long. In Anchorage, almost 400 miles south of the circle, the summer solstice day is 19.5 hours long. Winter has much shorter days. Above the Arctic Circle, the night can last for months, although lingering twilight brightens the sky. In Anchorage, the shortest day still provides 4.5 hours of daylight.

FTA: "She paid for it herself," McCallister told TPMmuckraker. "It was surplus from a local athletic club."

Which is nice to know. Even being able to afford a new tanning bed, she's frugal with money.

If the libs werent upset about a bimbo under the desk paid for by public money, I certainly cant see how they could argue about a tanning bed paid for with the governors personal money.

its a non issue.
dig deeper.

That's because she expects the taxpayers from all the other states to pay for her idiotic projects.

Ever hear of The Bridge To Nowhere?
