SamSpade said the fix is in...

And he's right...

Courts Allow Early Voting Week in Ohio... and same day registration/voting.

Quote:
In a defeat for Republican challenges, state and federal courts have cleared the way for a weeklong period in which new voters can register and cast an absentee ballot on the same day in Ohio...

In a 4-to-3 decision, the Ohio Supreme Court said Ms. Brunner was correct in ruling that voters do not need to be registered for at least 30 days before receiving an absentee ballot, as Republicans had argued.
Where's the trashcan. I have a Constitution to throw in there. What's the point?

Well I was referring specifically to the VP debate. I don't know have an opinion on "early voting". Overseas ballots are early votes as well, and Oregon does all mail-in voting. Arizona is having early mail-in as well.

Now, SAME DAY registration and voting, I've always had doubts, because it strikes me as a guarantee of fraud, no matter who it favors. I don't see how they can verify voter credentials on the day of registration. Worse, I've yet to see anyone go to jail over massive voting fraud, even when it's well documented.

As far as Obama is concerned, I'm pretty much of the opinion that he is just going to win. I think if the media didn't wet itself and swoon constantly over him, he just may have had a chance to win my vote, but I can't stand the love-fest they have over him, and I detest the idea that I'm being barraged with Obama propaganda for the last year and a half.

The only silver lining is that when he wins, he is going to inherit a mess, and he is absolutely not up to the challenge. I'd like to say that if he delivers on what he claims, he'll go down as one of our great Presidents, but I'm far more inclined to believe that two years into his administration, people are going to think even Bush was better. And with all the constant, constant rhetoric about how the world loves him and how his election will boost our standing in the world - the world is fickle and their beef with Americans goes far deeper than George Bush, and they'll heap scorn on Obama before the spring arrives.

I was expounding on the thought. A larger left wing conspiracy perhaps.

Allowing registration without resident or citizen verification is a violation of state law and potentially the constitution.

A left wing conspiracy? That would be interesting considering most of the judges involved are republicans. This situation was mentioned in the news yesterday and the same day registration/voting does require registrants to have documentation.

I know it is an op/ed piece but notice the date or just google ACORN voter fraud.

Here is a piece that is a little more recent:

Okay but I was talking about the same-day voting period in OH that was upheld by a GOP dominated State Supreme Court.

Ever heard of a liberal Republican? It was the Ohio GOP that was suing to stop this anyway. You know as well as I do this plays to the democrats advantage. They will go out with buses and vans and provide free meals to homeless people, et.al. then put a form in front of them then take them to vote.

This is the perfect setup for fraud. Makes no difference to me what party it is; fraud is fraud.

And they ruled against Republicans. Imagine that.

We may be witnessing the culmination of attempts at voter fraud to steal the election for the President of the United States. ACORN is at the heart of the massive defaults on mortgages. ACORN is also a known violator of election laws and generator of fraudulent voters.

Now, in Ohio, an attempt is being made to create a bank of votes by registering new voters in masse. In this calamity will surely be the usual fraudulent voters that show up in every location ACORN is active.
An attempt was made to sequester and quarantine the voter registration document and accompanying absentee ballot until all the associated registration applications can be verified and validated. This attempt was not allowed by the Ohio Supreme Court. These voter registration applications and associated ballots will be commingled with other absentee ballots before the voter registration can be authenticated.
This is ludicrous. There is no way to avoid the usual election fraud induced by ACORN in this situation.
