See, there you go again. You say you can't stomach the negative ads, but you can certainly stomach it coming from yourself.

I personally wish they'd both take their gloves off and go full throttle. Now THAT would make for a great campaign season. I'd love to see them say what they really want to say to each other. Not some sugar coated, "well I respectfully disagree with you Senator"

Anyway, Christy, to answer your question, since we're talking about simply calling someone on their votes and policies, of course I don't dislike it. How are you supposed to know the bad side of a candidate if their opponent doesn't tell you? It's not Obama or McCain are going to tell you about the stupid things they've done that people aren't going to like.

Furthermore, I am not running for office so I am free to bash and state my opinions. It doesn't mean a thing cause I don't need a vote.
Good so it's open season on you seeming how I don't need any popularity votes either!!!

You are missing the point of my thread. Are you sir, for or against, negative campaign ads?

I for one, am FOR the negative campaign ads.

Again, according to Obama during the debate, 100% of McCains ads were negative against him (No way that's true! so I don't like it!)... Since I don't like negative ad campaigns and if found to be UNTRUE about Obama I have called out McCain supporters on it, Obama considers anything that may expose him or his questionable past a negative hence you have no choice but to try and cut through the B/S regardless of which side posts it. But what Obama supporters consider negative ads, if true I don't! Thus define a negative ad in politics!!!

Here's about all I got on the subject. Negative Campaign Ads

I'm just amused when I hear so many people say "I'm so tired of the negativity" I'm thinking, "no you're not , you're just pissed that your candidate has been called out on his BS."

I think they both blow a lot of BS, but Obama blows out a whole hell of a lot more, and quite frankly, it amazes me that so many people, especially adults who have been through several elections, and should know how all this works, actually really believe that Obama is going to give us all "free" healthcare, create a bazillion new jobs, save the working man, shore up social security, fix our 401K's...... AND balance the budget. At least McCain supporters are realistic and know damn well that McCain can't possibly pull off all of his campaign promises, we're not that stupid. We seem to have enough gray matter to do some simple math. Anyway, I've gone way off on a tangent.

Not a tangent at all. People don't want to hear the truth, they prefer the pie-in-the-sky view that Obama gives them.
