Do you have to serve in the military to be President? He said he considered it, that's it. Just about every 18 year old I knew "considered" it where I was from because it was a great way to pay for college and serve your country. My first boyfriend joined fresh outta high school and regrets every bit of it...lets stop putting an emphasis on the military as if I dont know without it most of u would be on welfare.
My father, father-in-law and two sons were in the military. It's important to me that someone that runs for president served in the military. They have fought for our country. Obama didn't. I am not on welfare and I wasn't in the military. That was a stupid comment. Why would I be on welfare? I don't even know anyone, personally, on welfare. Do you? Everyone I know works for a living.

Dick Cheney, Phil Gramm, Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, and Ted Nugent were all running for President? Heck, I wish I'd have known that! I could've voted for some Wango Tango!

And yes let's stop putting an emphasis on the military, because I am SURE that Qurious will look lovely in a burqa.

Something you may want to consider - please pay particular attention to the last category. You might want to open a spreadsheet to compare presidents who've served in the military (especially in the time of war), and those former military who served as president in a time of war. One of the hallmarks of our democracy is that the military is subordinate to the civilian leadership in our country. An immutable fact is that the largest expenditure (aside from handouts to countries other than our own) of our tax dollars goes to the military. Only someone who has served in the military can truly understand the importance of defence spending. Those who do not have that comprehension are the ones who invariably try to cut that funding - often to our nation's peril (Bill Clinton, anyone?).

Neither does Joe Biden. Rumor control central has it that he was 4F - ineligible for military service because of medical reasons.

Wonder if he had cyst on his butt. Wait, that was Rush, wasn't it?

Ok here is a question for you....If you don't want to be associated with the black panthers then why in God's name would you vote in a President that has criminals, terrorists and racists among his friends, pastor and associations???? I really don't understand, did you just want a black man in the White House that bad..........I really really wish that Michael Steele had run, he has integrity unlike Obama.
