If republicans have any sense, Steele is excellent for RNC chair -- I was really disappointed that he didn't win the Senate seat and I hope he keeps that ad company on tap for the future. I've been watching Newt for years and always wanted to see him run for Prez as he's wonderfully articulate and has common sense (an uncommon thing these days). Right now I'd like to see a Steele/Palin ticket but it's early days for that kind of thing. A lot can change in two years which is essentially what we're looking at before we start up this never-ending campaign nonsense again. It'll sure be interesting to watch!

I'm not so sure Palin will settle for shotgun second time around. I feel she is being honed for the top spot for '12. But as you said, it's too early. I would hate to see her run against Newt in the primaries though. There is a lot of rebuilding and healing to do and that has to be accomplished first.
