Will they be armed? "Just as strong, just as powerful and just as well-funded."
What authority over Civilian authority will they have? All authority

I dont consider myself a nutcase, but when the intended President of the United States starts talking about raising an Army of Brownshirts because the Civilian and Military we have now are not capable of handling their jobs, I have to wonder what his ultimate goal is.

If we dont have enough military or Civilian police to handle things most people would suggest we get more military or Civilian personnell. not start a new concept of SS troops.

If the House of Representatives or the Senate led by Democraps brings up this crap we better make a move on the Capitol and straighten their asses out. And do it fast.
The whole idea is unconstitutional. There is no provision for such an Army.

So he gives an Executive Order to man this Army, and yes it's unconstitutional, so what.

It will take YEARS to get it in front of the Supreme Court for them to render their decision on the constitutionality.

DC Gun Ban was unconstitutional but DC had to live with it for THIRTY years. Lawmakers pass laws that are unconstitutional ALL the time, knowing that it would be years, if ever, before it ever came up in the court.

Nobody, especially lawmakers, care about what is or isn't constitutional.

This is why we need people like us. Middle class, working class representing us, not the lawyers doctors and the elite amongst us. They all feel they are above the law, and know how to work around the law. How many lawyers are there in Congress, percentage of total? how many Americans are lawyers, percentage of total Americans? I think Plumbers, Construction workers, Network Engineers, Analysts, Secretaries and the like are WAAAAAY under represented.

Most if not all ...... ??

I would have said that, but according to a Quiz (I cannot find it anywhere else) on the ABA Young Lawyers Division only 36% in 2006

I would have thought the # higher ... only 25 Presidents out of 43 were lawyers ...

53% is Senators are Lawyers

35% of Congressmen are Lawyers.

AND over 50% of Presidents were lawyers..

Yep, I think they are a LOT overrepresented. I think more people like Palin should run.

If most of Americans are working middle class, than that's what the majority should be representing us. THAT being said, you shouldn't be making 200K a year if that's not the average pay for your contituents. How are you supposed to relate, and empathize from an ivory tower?
