I thought Alan was acting different lately. It's as if he figured he was a short timer, so he could be downright rude & obnoxious. His retorts seemed more blatant and out there, in your face. Rude. Hannity is an Irishman & he can be hotheaded, but he's never nasty & rude. All these years, Colmes has been the "straight man" to Hannity's more boisterous personality. But this year, I've definitely noticed a difference in Colmes and guess I just didn't think about it long enough to figure out what it was.

I'm sure there's more to the story, there always is. I'm sure it's nothing nefarious, but in a way, it's kind of crappy for Alan to just up and want to quit a hit show like this. Love them or hate them - this show is a hit. I'm sure he wants to pursue other interests - but FNC allows all of it's people to do that. Hannity has a weekend solo show - Colmes could, too. So this bit about wanting to pursue other things and will continue to be on FNC in other ways is a little hollow sounding.

Colmes was a record that played the DNC talking points, no more , no less.

You have to admit, though, that doesn't change the resume.

Bann was trying to point out how Colmes' attitude had change recently and how it was very unlike Colmes to behave this way.

Far be it for you to, just once, overlook your propensity to bash the right and see that point though.

I agree Colmes has changed a lot - and he's on the left. People on the left are sick of the same talking points being uttered everyday.

Bann also said Hannity's never rude or obnoxious which is because he's one of the most obnoxious people on TV (behind Douchy, Olbermann and sometimes O'Reilly).

There is more to this. His excuse is what all people in these positions use when they are for lack of a better word, fired. Maybe FNC thinks a change will boost ratings. Maybe one even more Left that Colmes. He could have had a weekend show like Hannity without giving up the daily show. His radio show is on Fox News Talk Radio on XM. Heard him once, but he was not too good, as are most Left hosts.

Maybe he is being vetted for Hussein's press Secretary and wanted to make a break before he was chosen.

Fox seems to be cleaning housw, Britt Hume, E.D. Hill and now Alan Colmes. Something is afoot.

To be honest I can't stand to listen to Hannity much anymore. I complete agree with his philosophy, but he tends to be a broken record on subjects repeating the same points over and over.

As far as rudeness goes Hannity is known to ask pointed questions and doesnt' tolerate dancing around and spin. He will try to steer a discussion back to his questions and will do so very earnestly. If that is rude then I guess he is rude.

The many times I've watched, he asks a question and talks right over the answer just like Chris Matthews does. He's exactly like some of the righties on this board that only see black and white and only see things as their way.
