| Bush pardons Clinton... AP, Washington, DC... "Today, in a sudden and somewhat shocking move, outgoing President George W. Bush pardoned ex president William J. Clinton in the matter of Clinton's impeachment surrounding the controversial Monica Lewinsky scandal. Shock-waves reverberated around the Nations capital on the eve of the historic inauguration of the nations first African American president, Illinois Senator Barrack Obama. Leading Republicans had little to say at this time, suggesting the focus should be on tomorrows events, having little other comment. Senate majority leader Harry Reid, D, Nevada, seemed pleased, but also wanted to keep the focus on tomorrows events. However, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, D, California, in a prepared statement issued from her office had this to say "While I applaud the gesture on the part of President Bush, I can only say it is just, fair and long over due and lest he get any ideas, it's far too little, far too late. We still intend to go forward with our plans to have him arrested, tried, convicted, water boarded and sent to Guantanamo, Cuba, for the rest of his days. Viva Che!!!" Developing...
