Rush...

confronted (indirectly) Republican "leaders" as being too weak to take a stand against obamie.

This Morning Congressment Pence of Pa.--said he knows od NO Repub who will sign on the stimulus package. Maybe Rush put some steel in their veins.
Knowing human nature....
obamie's attack on free speech and Rush will: lead to far more listeners and Rush better be good today as his listener's #s pick up.

If anybody decides to look at history (and most don't...because they are smarter than anybody in the past)...look up the Republican attempt to boost the economy in 1931-32: The RFC---it was a stimulus package that made NO effect on the oncoming depression.
No obamie will attempt a new version: that is almost identical but bloated with horrendous waste: it will fail miserably.

Fail obamie...fail.-every day, all week and for the next 3 years 11 months and a few days: FAIL.

Limbaugh and Hannity and Beck all checked their principles at the door during the election. They all just go on board with McCain with the pathetic argument that sacrificing most of their principles was better than sacrificing all of them, absolutely no different than the people who supported Gore and Kerry. We now have Yellow Dog Republicans.

Now, McCain has gone back to being McCain and the Big Three are foundering about trying act like they had nothing to do with any of this and national Republicans are doing the same, starting to talk and act on principles they used to have, right up and until they had the opportunity to actually act on those principles.

Well, I am sorry. I have lived through the ascendancy of Republicans, based solely on the power of arguing for conservative principles, and I have seen Republicans do the nearly unthinkable; win the House in 1996, after 40 years off non stop Democrats in control, win the Senate at nearly the same time AND run the White House for two straight terms, AND have a majority in the courts and watched them pizz away the opportunity.

When you have that kind of once in a lifetime opportunity and do nothing with it, on the contrary, take the nation FURTHER down the path the left so deeply desires yet could only dream of pulling off, when you have had the chance and nearly completely abdicated the responsibilities to what and who got you there, well, criticizing left wing governmental dominance, however proper and necessary, rings awfully hollow.

As I say, the left, if they would be honest for a moment, owe much gratitude to Bush and other GOP leaders and this includes Limbaugh and others for not doing their job when it actually mattered.

Which ultimately falls on us, we, the people.

Sad, isn't it. I remember when McCain took the lead and they were all talking about how horrible McCain was right along with us. Once he locked in the nomination, they did a 180 and started praising him.

Hence the Yellow Dog Republicans. Limbaugh, of all people, has said, numerous times, how this works; you vote FOR someone, not AGAINST someone because it doesn't work when you're voting AGAINST.

Yeah, because it's so great having Barack Obama as President thus far. He fits in so nicely with the Democrat Congress. He's much better than that nefarious John McCain.

McCain was too liberal for them

Obama wanting people to stop listening to someone in the media is stupid. Oh well, what can you do? Oh...keep listening

That's the spirit! Never stop compromising! NEVER! Why, if the lefties in America thought like that, we'd have had, oh, lets see, Gore, then Kerry, hmm...maybe they'd have had Chris Dodd this time instead of the guy they really wanted!? Yeah, that's it! No compromising on compromising!

Too bad all those 'principled' people messed up the practical types in '76 and 'caused' Jerry Ford to lose. Why, we'd have never had to put up with no Reagan's then...

You lose this argument every way there is to lose it. Why do you keep coming back for more?
