Weasels vs. AIDS Relief

Some of the personnel stumbles of the Obama administration -- including the abortive nomination of Bill Richardson as commerce secretary -- resulted from incompetent vetting. William Lynn's reception as deputy secretary of defense has been complicated by hypocrisy -- the administration's attempt to gain political credit for a restrictive lobbying ban it swiftly violated to get a qualified appointee.


But one major personnel error was made from malice. And it calls into question the depth and duration of President Obama's "new politics."

What kills me is this: If a Republican had started off his term with the appointments Obama has made and the so-called "press conferences" that are little more than 'LOOKATME!" speeches, the main stream media would be LOSING THEIR MINDS....

It makes one wonder just what will be (if ever) the tipping point for the Drive By Media regarding Obama. In their minds, the Donks can do no wrong.

Not even when Carl Levin says he won't 'permit' Citibank to buy that new jet. No outrage at a petty bureaucrat who is attempting to dictate to a private business what they can and cannot do. Next thing you know, Levin will be dictating on what days the office manager can bring in donuts. The dinosaur media is tanking big-time and they still haven't figured out it's their socialist bias.

Just a slight problem with how Levin describes the purchase of the jet. It was ordered several years ago. It was to replace two corporate jets, whose sale would cover the purchase of this jet. It's more efficient and leaves a smaller carbon footprint. Maintenance would be much lower on the new jet. There is also a several million dollar penalty to cancel the order.

In other words, it was a good business decision.

But Mr. Ignorant Donk Levin decides he knows more about sound business decisions than the folks at Citibank (he's from where?), and he single-handedly will not 'permit' this decision to stand. Micromanagement at its best.

Maybe Pelosi wanted it for her personal use.

If Citibank wants a jet so bad, I'm sure they can get the one they just pulled out the Hudson river for cheap!!!
