This video shows that George Bush tried to warn Congress in 2002 that this economic crisis was coming, if something was not done. But congress refused to listen, along with Barney Frank. This video says it all.

Another interesting point is that the liberal AMERICAN media did not want this video on You Tube, so they had Time Warner threaten a law suit (proprietary rights) if it was not taken off.

That vid, or equivalent, has been discussed time and time and time again since the first warnings by Bush, actually in April of '01, right after he took office, onward.

If a GOP president and a GOP congress, with a GOP court to boot, can walk out there and say "We have a grave problem we need to fix now" and then do not one damn thing about it, what is the point of supporting them, at all?

Well The Democrats have the power now but a bill to extend the Digital TV requirement just failed to pass the House. See these things can happen even if the party that wants something changed is in power..

So when McCain cosponsored a bill for more oversight of Fannie/Freddy and the DemoRats threaten to block it for the sake of their voter cattle base, that counts as Bush and the republicans did nothing about it!!! Yeah right!!!

The Republicans yes had the majority, but not a filibuster proof majority. The Democrats still had enough members to block any bill!!! Having the Majority does not mean you have the 60 votes needed to pass a bill unopposed by the other party!!!
