This was the problem before we went in, this was the problem when we went in, this is the problem now and this is THE problem that no amount of US troops, US money and US support can fix.

It has nothing to do with cowardice per se. It has to do with the fundamental Iraqi individual. There are no Americans fighting for their own town when it's a run down #### hole filled with crack whores, drug dealers and bums because there is no reward for the risk in it. There is no government support. The law is NOT on the side of those who want to do right.

Iraq will NOT get right UNTIL the man with a rifle in his hand knows that if he shoots the bad guy dead he will be sent help and more bullets by his government. Right now, the bad guy might be the one reinforced because he has support IN the government.
