| GOP cheat sheet... Obama; need to cut the cost of health care GOP; Then get rid of third party payer and let people decide how much they want to pay for health insurance. No one in their right mind thinks the federal government is going to reduce the cost of health insurance or health care. Obama; Need to have a cap and trade to save the planet. GOP; Cap and trade is a scam designed to make energy costs soar creating a new 'need' for government intervention. We need to open ANWR and the OCS to serve, at the very minimum, as a lever against foreign oil price pressure. We just do. Obama; We need to control more and more business decisions. GOP; See health care. No one in their right mind thinks the federal government could do better than even AIG. We need simple, effective and strong regulation, not government ownership and operation of business. Obama; We need to spend trillions more to fix the economy. GOP; That is, truly, as stupid as it sounds. We need to CUT spending so those dollars stay in people's pockets so they can decide what to spend it on; not saddle following generations with what are now, by far, the most massive deficit and debt numbers we've ever even heard of. Simple.

The 'word trap', the falsehood that has been accepted is that government DOING something means one and only one thing; more government. Our society is like a garden; it needs to be tended to. If there are too many weeds, remove them, don't add more. If it needs water, over watering is as bad as no watering. Too much fertilizer is as bad as none at all. A little bit is ALWAYS better than too much or none at all. A conservative approach.

| My general idea is that if enough people INSIST on complete thoughts, sound reasoning and effective argument BASED on complete thoughts and sound reasoning that we just may well be able to keep this nation going along roughly along the lines of our laws and best intentions; life, liberty, pursuit of happiness, all that quaint stuff.
