OK, 'what if pigs could fly' is not the same as 'what if conservatives actually supported conservatives'. At least I hope not!

I don't think asking conservatives to support conservatives is akin to asking pigs to fly, which is why I wasn't commenting on that aspect of what you said. I was considering the logistics of some no-name starting a website on Monday and becoming a nationwide political sensation by Friday as you suggested.

Politics is a business, and, as with any good business, one needs to advertise and attract interest, so even though it is possible to set up a website and get so many hits in so many days, it is not likely. Moreover, a politician has to convince people that voting for them would effect a notable change and not be proverbially throwing that vote away.

I couldn't agree more. I did not mean to suggest this could happen over night from square one, zero political back ground or experience. It would need to be someone who has a resume in order to attract support, like a small business, after years of hard work, going public with a great product and/or service. I meant to say that someone in the right position could gain the support fairly quickly.
