You say you want a revolution
Well you know
We'd all want to change the world
You tell me that it's evolution
Well you know
We'd all want to change the world
But when you talk about destruction
Don't you know that you can count me out
Don't you know it's gonna be alright

Law is defined to be a rule of action; but how can that be a rule, which is little known and less fixed? -James Madison

The basis for a revolution in the American tradition would be to fight against a power you have no control over nor can do anything productive with.

That is NOT the case in the US. We have pretty free and pretty fair elections AND we've just added to the mix the incredible power of the Internet to raise funds to compete outside the confines of the major parties if they choose to continue supporting the course the nation is currently on.

We simply lack enough leaders who have the imagination and the determination to over come the obstacles. We also have an awful lot of people who only care about one thing; the letter after the candidates name.

As bad as it is, we still have the power.

I can picture...

1000 veterans...WWII, Korea, Viet Nam, Iraq I/II...making a slow & steady march up constitution ave. ALL are armed...none are menacing: just focused.

The Secret service is all fired up...but doubt has squeaked in: Will they fire on American Heroes? There is a flurry of orders & counter orders and refused orders...and the march continues.

Right up the steps of congress while the panic erupts in the Speaker's chambers and furniture is thrown up against the doors.

man, it is a very impressive scene.

Depends, if it was a sexual revolution, that would be an entirely different list..

Well, maybe not for This Person.. his lists are probably both the same..

Perhaps I wasn't clear; We still have a viable, open and free system. We can win the political battle. Set aside the John McCain's, the George Bush's, the Mitch McConnells and John Boenhers and find people who will fight barney Frank and Nancy Pelosi and Harry Ried and Barrack Obama and beat them with better ideas and better government.

It is insulting to our forefathers that we even contemplate taking up arms against what they bled and died for and left to us simply because we're can't be bothered to even hold our own representatives accountable.

Good Lord. You don't throw the baby out just because WE let the bathwater get dirty.

Larry, stop with your unrealistic pipe-dreaming. Seriously. The sheeple are brainwashed by the Leftist media and they vote, too. YOU can vote for whoever you want, and THEY will vote for whoever their masters tell them to.

And people, please - do not make threats against elected officials. You are on a public forum and anyone can read this.

How come you're not a Democrat? You are also firmly in the nanny state camp where you believe people are not willing or even capable of being responsible, correct? So, why not support the people who share your beliefs?
