Obama; discrediting himself one day at a time..

AP Newsbreak: Obama looks at climate engineering

Quote:
WASHINGTON (AP) - The president's new science adviser said Wednesday that global warming is so dire, the Obama administration is discussing radical technologies to cool Earth's air.

John Holdren told The Associated Press in his first interview since being confirmed last month that the idea of geoengineering the climate is being discussed. One such extreme option includes shooting pollution particles into the upper atmosphere to reflect the sun's rays. Holdren said such an experimental measure would only be used as a last resort.

"It's got to be looked at," he said. "We don't have the luxury of taking any approach off the table."
You just know one of these dumb ####s passed the joint and said "Hey, what if everyone turns on their A/C, real low, and just opens all the windows and stuff? Would that work?"

Then, they all went "Dude!" ...paused...and a study has been commissioned.

Give him credit; he told us he was kinda of a whacky dude any number of times.

When he was talking about confiscating the profits of the oil companies, he wasn't just playing to his crowd; he's serious about his left wing extremism.

Everybody run and open their refrigerators and freezers for one hour every day at noon.

Actually their idea of shooting particles into the atmosphere is no more crazy than thinking we can change the climate in the first place.

Or that it 'needs' to be changed to some unspecified something or other by us.

Well, there's that.

so after wasting billions on the Clear Air Act Regulations we should have allowed factories to spew particulate pollution into the air after all .........

oh but if the Gobberment is going to do it, thats ok .........

I can see this is going to end well

See, this is why the GOP desperately needs more intelligent people who are willing to speak intelligently. The response to this non sense would be exactly as you state; "So, Mr. President, you're suggesting we need more pollution?"

"No! We need magic crystals!"

Liberals / Socialists do not think, the "Feel your Pain" and want to help you even if you don't need it

Yes, but, they DO think. I say this because they can't get their way just by 'feeling'. There needs to be action after the feeling, thought out, planned, effective action. The 'feeling' part works just fine as an excuse or pretext, but it's worthless without a plan to put those feelings to work.
