WASHINGTON, April 9 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama asked the U.S. Congress for an additional $83.4 billion to fund the military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan on Thursday, saying the security situation along the Afghan-Pakistan frontier was urgent.

"The Taliban is resurgent and al Qaeda threatens America from its safe haven along the Afghan-Pakistan border," Obama said in a letter to Nancy Pelosi, the speaker of the House of Representatives, that was released by the White House.

Sounds an awful lot like George Bush, too, huh? Who knows? Maybe the left is fine with war as long as it is a Dem in charge, just like deficit spending and exploding the debt.

And that's because the media presents it as a good thing to do, as opposed to when a Republican does the same thing and is roundly criticized. People think what the media tells them to think.

Well, if I am an opponent, I shove this in their face, put them on the defensive and let them spend all their time making excuses about his campaign sound bites and blaming the Ghost of George Bush Past.

On the other hand, if I am a Republican, instead of an opponent, I fuss about gay marriage and call Nancy names.

You illustrate the problem just fine. Now, either it is insurmountable or it is not. If people who say "#### you, #######s..." are supported, it can be surmounted. If people who say "Can't we just all get along..." are supported...

Everyone in the country who voted Obama kicks back and says "give him a chance." Sorry, in only 3 months in office he has doubled the national debt, given away billions in stimulus pork, unemployment rise, and made a mockery of his own country to the rest of the world. His chance is over. Now it's just a waiting game to see if he gets impeached for something (doubtful as he can do no wrong in liberal eyes) or just voted out in the next election. I'm tired of Obama. Just waiting for the nightmare to be over.

P.S. I've got a long wait ahead.
