If you are presuming this man, being a Kuwaiti, should automatically be grateful for the liberation of his country, you're not looking at the Middle East for what is it; tribal. There are all sorts in Saudi's that wish their nation would be overthrown, OBL first among them. This guy is clearly, to me, no supporter of the Kuwaiti royals.

He doesn't have to be. The Iraqis were plundering the country, killing civilians and torching the place. I seriously doubt a great big sign on his front porch saying I heart Saddam would have helped. When the Iraqis knew the end was near, they set the oil fields on fire. The Americans put an end to that.

I guess I've come to expect this, but I can't understand it. If my county were overrun by thugs and gangs and Super Obama personally came and beat them all up, I'd name my first born after him.

But I remember news after 9/11 when they polled people across the world what they thought and felt about Americans, and some of showed very hostile sentiment from Kuwaitis. And this was before our war with Iraq - it was right in the wake of 9/11. And they were saying we deserved it. I just don't get the idea of thanks for saving our country but you're still the devil and we still want you all to die, praise be to Allah.

OK, but if you're taught from birth to be hostile to infidels and you grow up in that culture and you learn your place in the world is in continuing that culture, well, this guy is not the one charging tanks with hand grenades. He's in sales and marketing.
