Books for Donkies

Is there any enlightening Liberal books out there than anyone can recommend reading? Preferably one that is not “romantic” in nature.

Amazon.com: Open Veins of Latin America: Five Centuries of the Pillage of a Continent: Eduardo Galeano: Books

It's Obama's new favorite and climbing the charts on Amazon.

"...enlightening Liberal...." books? You want to rethink that thought again?

OK. I just caught on.

I didn't know what 'donks' meant. Then, seeing 'donkies' made the little light come on.

Ideological books will always romanticize something.

I just want to read a book liberals regard as a good book. One that logically represents their current views on how run this country. Maybe one that tries to prove conservatives "wrong" logically.

I want to be fair. I read a very conservative book that did a good job on proving that modern Progressive Liberals are from the tree of early socialism. Mussolini, Hitler, Wilson, FDR, etc.

Is "It takes a Village" a good example (by Hillary Clinton)? I am kind of surprised that not many Democrats on this board want to recommend one. I am not going to flame them on this thread. Just looking for some book titles.
