I'll take the bet. This country has gone crazy and for Palin to get the nomination would not be too far out there. Besides, if a miracle happens and she does get it, you will have to to me and say I'm great.

No, I just don't think she has the political muscle to take on "the machine". She flusters easily, is not fast on her feet, relies too much on cliche, and when she speaks it seems too hollow and not sincere to me, just rehearsed "points". I think she is a hell of a woman, a conservative and admirable and my opinion might be unfairly drawn if she was being handled incorrectly by McCain people.

As a #2 she was an attractive alternative to a Joe Biden insider type but as the #1 I think she would wither under the intense pressure. she would have to beat a slew of accomplished heavyweights to get the nomination and I just don't see it happening.

Time will tell. As far as surrender, no I am not French and no I am not surrendering, I just don't think Palin has the cajones.......wait bad term...uh Chutzpah to run for the #1 job, outlast a slew of heavyweight republicans, and withstand the intense pressure ANYONE from the right is going to face going up against Team O.

Of course Obama could very well be on a crash course and sacrificing his chance at a second term for the sake of making sweeping changes early. Watch for him to back off in a couple years. He and his handlers know the American public have very short memories and if you have rock star charisma you will get a pass from the public as evidenced by Clinton.
