PRUDEN: Steady descent into third world

OPINION/ANALYSIS:

Opening a can of worms always tempts a mischief-maker, but it's risky business. That can of worms might turn out to be a can of snakes, like Barack Obama's latest gift to the nation.

The president's on-again, off-again, maybe-he-will and maybe-he-won't decision to punish someone who loosened tongues of Islamist terrorists at Guantanamo suddenly threatens not only the CIA interrogators and Justice Department lawyers, but even members of Congress. Maybe it won't stop there: if the lawyers who offered legal opinions are at risk of punishment for their legal advice, why not the members of Congress who knew what was going on? Why not the secretaries who typed up the transcripts? Why not the interns who fetched the coffee? All were accessories either before or after the fact.

As for the content of the C&P

If the admin goes after the republicans involved in what they want to consider a crime, it then only stands to reason that the democrats involved are equally at fault.
and I would like to suggest that if the obama did not speak out against these actions while they were taking place, he too is equally to blame for those alleged crimes.

Obama stepped in a huge cow patty when he started all this crap.

It would be interesting to know his motives for stepping in it to begin with.

Perhaps it was to take the heat off all the other mistakes he has been making, or perhaps he is being set up by whoever pulls his strings.

Whatever his motives he didnt do the United States an favors when he opened this pandora's box.

I cut and paste this, because I am concerned about the content ...

in this case the prez decision to criminalize past administrations policy even though he campaigned he would do so, but after screeching from MoveOn dot org and others has yet again lurched farther left back towards his socialistic roots

It would stand to reason that you wouldn't publish your plans on how you intend to deal with people that have sworn to kill you.


Reason doesn't seem to apply to the current administration. They seem to only be interested in consolidating their power and damn the consequences to the country.

If that's Pelosi she is dumber than previously thought, because she has clearly been shown to be as knowledgeable of the goings-on as anyone.
