I know, but if I give you money to pay debts, and you pay them, how can I be upset with who you pay? Dont get me wrong, I'm not in favor of bailouts, just want reason to be used in the critcism.

Charging us the money was sold as helping the United States. Charging us to help other countries was not part of the sales package (and people by and large did not like the sales package).

We were charged for goods we did not want in the first place, then found out the goods were worse than we were told.
