U.S. officials want 'swine' out of flu name

"What's in a name? U.S. pork producers are finding that the name of the virus spreading from Mexico is affecting their business, prompting U.S. officials to argue for changing the name from swine flu."

Reuters AlertNet - U.S. officials want 'swine' out of flu name

It's a little late to calm this panic by changing the name. Isreal is calling it the "Mexico flu" - I would have preferred that.

If people started calling this the Mexican Flu, it would be the start of World War III.

Did poultry producers suffer the same ill-effects during the (also unwarrented) Avian Flu panic-attack crisis syndrome apocolypse end-of-the-world megadisaster?

It only makes sense. They want the word 'socialism' out of 'socialism'.

No. The bottled water people did, though.

They should rename it the CO2 flu. After all, they want to decrease CO2 emissions. Two birds with one stone and all...

if Bush had enough power to cause a hurricane that devistated N.O, the I would have to guess that obama is certainly responsible for this flu and for not stopping it fast enough.
