Obama; failure of leadership...

washingtonpost.com - nation, world, technology and Washington area news and headlines

Two weeks ago, the whole terror debate blew up in Obama's face; the battle between making terrorists uncomfortable in the wake of 9/11 vs. those who want Bush and his folks in jail even if it is for jaywalking.

The ONLY reason this boiled over was because Obama turned up the heat by being, as usual, a lawyer seeing both sides and not a leader who shuts the the whole thing done in order to move the nation forward.

It calmed down a great deal when Obama was confronted with the actual issue; waterboarding, clearly, is not torture and making people uncomfortable and scaring them with bugs is simply not going to get America's worked up over touchy feely stuff, especially in context of who the people are that we were fighting and what they do and the times. Cheney called his weak bluff and asked that ALL the memo's be released, not just the ones that looked bad. Context. Perspective. Obama, Pelosi and the media ran for the shadows.

Obama is now letting it boil up again, looking for ways to prosecute somebody to satisfy his lynch mob. And that's what this is; hardcore leftists, tin pot style, want bodies. They want show trials, public humiliation, arrests, sentencing.

Over waterboarding and spiders and keeping people awake and making them uncomfortable.

So, Obama, release ALL the memos and lets have our show trial. Obama is not a leader. He's a lawyer. And he works for the left.

reminds me of the horse and the carrot.
the o will say or do anything that the dems want him to, just as long as they lead him around with the teleprompter dangling in his face.

I wonder if he has caught on yet that the power of president transferred from the white house to congress last January.

I guess it's ok to say Obama's biggest problem is that he is a lawyer and can see both sides. That's someone's opinion. Mine is a bit different.

Obama is leading . He lead this mess right to where it is. He started it by releasing those files on the waterboarding. He probably did it to take our attention away from his takeover of the banks, the auto companies and his other sneaky dealing with 20 billion dollars for immigrating Hamas agents to this country. He stirs up the BDS people and it take the pressure off his other mistakes. Like pressuring Israel. His backdoor approach to banning guns by claiming Mexico is getting guns from the US.

Obama has studied since childhood under Socialists like Frank Davis and Bill Ayres, he knows what he is doing. He is turning our sovereignty over to the UN. He is making us wards of the government instead of its Directors. The shame is that we have a Senate and House that is either blind or part of the scheme.

Obama ran on Hope and Change. The change I see is Americans being led by the government instead of leading the government. When Obama gets done it will no longer be the country Of the people by the people and for the people . We will just be another country run by its government.

When people like Steny Hoyer announce publicly that he does not need to listen to his constituents , but will vote what he feels is best, and he keeps getting elected., we are in deep trouble. The House is filled with Steny Hoyers. People who no longer listen to their constituency, but vote the party line. Their future in the House guaranteed because pork has bought the votes of Americans in their district.

Meanwhile there is no release of documents showing the effect of information found by waterboarding. Just like we havent seen the Kenyans Birth Certificate, and we wont see those documents either. It doesnt suit Obama's agenda to release them.

I like your quote.
Here's another one:
"The buck stops here (no pun intended), BUT IT'S ALL BUSH'S FAULT".
I think if possible, it would be amusing to hack into the teleprompter(s) and using sublimal messages, have him say things extremely derogatory. After all, he is a slave of the teleprompter, and without it, he is just another shyster. How about someone on his "highly intellectual" staff suggest he use something low tech like a legal pad ?

There are far too many moving parts going on right now for one person to be said to be in control. He may well be 'leading' in the hornets nests he stirs up, but to say he is in charge of all these various swarms, auto's, banks, insurers, health care, the wars, torture, the stimulus, the vetting process, the protocol, the foreign trips, is to suspend common sense and believe that he truly is the Messiah.

He's no more in control than a cowboy trying to ride 20 bulls at once. He may be the man on top, but he's just trying to keep smiling while holding on for dear life.
