Healthcare can NOT be for profit.
You can not have a publicly traded company making life or death situations based on EPS.

It's a conflict of interest.

Think outside the box on this one, healthcare is a mess. How do we fix it?

Why is it 80 dollars at the Dr. when i pay cash and 200.00 if i am using insurance.
That makes no sense, everyone has there hands out.
We need the insurance companies out of the loop, we need the doctor patient relationship to also be a financial relationship.

Just ask a Doctor, he/she will tell you what the problem is.

I agree, on the news recently a doctor wanted to charge patients in New York a flat fee of $75 for an office visit and his patients increased with no degradation in patient care. UNTIL the New York medical insurance board got wind of it and stepped in telling him it was illegal because he wasn't charging the standard insurance rate for an office visit which was somewhere close to $200 and shut him down. Many doctors want to do the right thing but their hands are tied because of the bureaucracy and payoffs that have to go to the insurance companies for their work!!!
