Obama blind spot...

...if you listen to everything that is going in politics, the permanent Dem majority, how bad Limbaugh/Cheney/Gingrich/Bush are, end of the GOP, etc, Obama and his team seem to very much rely on Obama's personal appeal to overcome the public impressions and thoughts on Pelosi, Reid, the comments of Holder and Napolitano, the worries about the Kos/Soro's/Moveon/ACRON machines and so forth.

Gregory was talking all this up, the Dem pros from the Obama perspective, and then Scarborough said 'that's all well and good until Pelosi and Reid come into the conversation..." and all the guests were silent for several seconds.

To overuse a phrase, it's the 800 pound gorilla. They want to believe in some wonderful Democratic panacea, but they're flummoxed by the reality that they have scheming, self-serving doofuses on the job. They'd rather pretend it wasn't there.
