I can see it now ..... the UAW will control GM ( government motors ) and Chrysler .... get paid millions of tax dollars to manufacturer nothing (remember the Gobberment owns a large portion or rather will own a large portion [ I see GM and Chrysler Employees becoming Federal Emp.]) and we import cheaply made Chinese Cars because they own some much Gobberment Debt ![]()

History is always interesting from the standpoint of finding out, long after the fact, what was actually going on, who controlled who and what the true big picture goals actually were. The Kennedy's did have relationships with the mob through the father. His boys did try to assassinate Castro Nixon did know what was going on with Watergate. LBJ did get us into Vietnam for economic reasons. Reagan did try to get around congress and help the Contras. FDR and Wilson before him did mean to get us involved in the World Wars. Bush did mean to get us embroiled in Iraq Clinton truly did only care about golf and getting laid. We can always debate the merits and the intentions of history and it's larger moments, but not that presidents are helpless victims of circumstances. Right now, Obama is, clearly, trying to socialize the US, thus the global, economy with implementation of the simplest, most straight forward government model of all time; tyranny. Thus two schools of thought; Is the best president the one that seizes the levers of power and puts his stamp on history, Wilson, FDR, Bush 43, or is the best president humble enough to keep their hands off of as many things as possible, Reagan? Whatever the case may be, Obama is definitely in the former category and I think history speaks for itself as to the results.

Did they all pause, then burst into laughter? "Just kidding!" Did they pause and actually make note that it is even possible for them to go too far? I'm all for transparency in government. I would have enjoyed those deliberations.

But then again, maybe I'm just becoming a bit of a cynic. | |
