I can't relate to being surprised at the notion that he isn't squeaky clean. Edwards always struck me as being particularly duplicitous.

That's why I like the term '527 Media'. I'd love to see someone bring suit proving actual support for a given candidate and force MSNBC to be recognized as a wing of the Obama campaign apparatus.

Oh, and I remember how blatant it was watching the 527 media totally ignore the story , nothing to see here, as day, by day, they just let the Enquirer or whomever it was, do the work. Had it been some cocktail waitress who'd supposedly slept around with McCain back in his tail hook days, Wolf and Katie and all the rest would have been hiding in her bushes trying to get an interview.

Hillary knew but she was stuck watching the media let it slide. She didn't want to risk being the source. You are assuming that Hillary could not put the word out back channel and insulated so it did not come from her.

I can see Obama sitting on it because the more donks in the race the more he diluted Hillary's base.

Hillary desperately needed every vote she could get in the primary. Ripping out Edwards heart and peeing on it openly would have pushed more to Obama, having it come out from an un-named source not linked to her would have allowed Edwards supporters to come over with a clear conscience.

You are right though in the fact the press had decided Obama WAS GOING to be President. Maybe Hillary saw the inevitable and was worried she couldn't get a cherry job in the Obama administration if she fought too hard.

Nahhhh, Clintons know 2 speeds full speed and full speed +10 when running for office.
