RNC raises $5.7 million in April

The Republican National Committee (RNC) announced Friday that it raised $5.7 million in April, including $5.4 million from individual contributions.


The total comes in under the committee’s $6.7 million haul from March but above its $5.1 million take in February.

The RNC finished March with $23.9 million cash on hand compared to the DNC's $9.8 million. The RNC's $6.7 million raised in March was short of the DNC's $7.8 million.

The DNC, however, remained $6.6 million in debt at the end of March, while the RNC is debt-free.

Seems like the President's failing economy is causing a boom in revenue for the RNC. He better give his flock more of our money.

If this keeps up, the RNC might have the funds to run a decent race in 2012against the "contributions" that soared Obama to the top in 2008.

They should set up a separate fund for that - they'd probably take in twice as much.
