We tend to be creatures of habit and it may take a while for changes to come about once again. It would be ironic for the oppressors to become the oppressed. And depending on what side of the equation you stand on could be considered poetic justice for some. Don't get me wrong, I don't believe disparities among races have been wiped out completely and see some minority groups being heard while others are still ignored and even discriminated upon by other minority groups. You think being oppressed would make one more attune or sensitive to the plight of others. One could even argue that the reason the Steeler's are predominately black is because of racial oppression, for an overwhelming amount of black American's gear themselves for the sport as other avenues had been traditionally closed off to them in the past. I suspect as time goes on these little blurbs will become more and more prevalent. And from the onset, it doesn't seem as if it is being taken very well at the moment. The angry black man may very quickly become the angry white man? Food for thought, is all. | |

| Even the most punctual person can be caught in the killer traffic of the Washington, DC metro area. The best laid plans.... It all boils down to White House staff members making the decision that a professional football team who won the Super Bowl (and all of the attending press and publicity) was more important than 150 kindergartners who aren't old enough to vote in the next election anyway. A defnite lack of class all along the line. |

| ... | How great would it have been for those kids to not only see the white house, and the illegal currently residing there, but also to be able to meet the football team. Talk about a day they would never forget. What am I thinking, they wont forget this day either.
