Americans Want a Check on Obama’s Agenda

Quote:
A majority of Americans say they would vote for a Republican member of Congress in order to provide a check and balance to President Obama’s agenda, according to a new poll.

The poll by McLaughlin & Associates shows that by a 51-41 margin the respondents prefer a check on Obama’s agenda, a 17-point reversal from January when a poll by the same firm showed a 47-40 preference for having more Democrats in Congress in order to help Obama.

The biggest drop came among Democrats as 75% said they want to help Obama pass his agenda, versus 86% in January. Among Republicans, support for more Democrats in Congress fell 4 points from 10% to 6%. Independents had a 3 percentage point shift in the other direction, with 38% saying they would vote Democratic to help Obama compared to 35% in January.

Having the Republicans in control of Congress during part of the Clinton administration definitely curtailed allot of his liberal ambitions. (Thank God!)

I think it would help if this was to occur in 2010 under the Obama administration. Won't be enough.....but it would help.

Facing the reality that the U.S. might vote out the Donkies in 2010; they could also ratchet up their Progressive (Pseudo Socialist) legislation's during this year (hoping and praying that this will work in their favor for 2010).

So far Obama has fired CEO's, told people in private businesss' that he should set how much money they make, taken over the auto companies and handed them to the Unions, Made his own Cafe laws without Congress , raised our debt to 4 times what it was, it appears his agenda is to become Dictator and he is well on his way, Somebody needs to check it.

Think about this;

How do you come up with ANY GOP'ers who want MORE Dems in congress?

And Indies don't seem to know what they want. More support him NOW?

The last question in every poll should always be 'do you think polls are accurate?"

I think that I could take a poll and come up with the answers that were requested on pretty much any subject.
you just have to know where to ask the questions.

example, is obama doing a good job.
they want it to say, yes he is by a hughe majority.
so,
I take the poll in Baltimore, in Chicago, maybe in LA.
guess what, that poll is going to prove scientifically that the country loves obama.

now what happens if I take that same poll in Texas, or maybe western maryland and areas like that?
Suddenly, the country scientifically does not approve of obama.

I bet you could work a poll that way right here on the forums if you had access to all of the private forums.

It all depends on how the questions are worded.

"Regardless of your approval rating for Obama, would you still vote for him if you had it to do over?" Then, all the ####tards that are crying about water and bugs and sleep deprivation who may not be giving him high marks could be accurately represented.

Jan: "Do you approve or disapprove of Dick Cheney?"

Keef Olberman: "No! He is mean!"

Larry Gude: "No! He ain't mean enough!"

Viola.

good point.
and if you refuse to answer any question because of wording, you are just put down as undecided. or, dont care.
