Quote of the day.....

"I think he smells some blood in the water on the national-security issue. It's almost, a little bit, gallows politics. When you read behind it, it's almost as if he's wishing that this country would be attacked again, in order to make his point. I think that's dangerous politics."

-- CIA Director Leon Panetta, in an interview with the New Yorker, on former Vice President Dick Cheney's criticisms of the Obama administration.

We're the Tackle Box and the muslims are the hood rats that have attacked numerous times.

Think they would attack again if we turn off the alarm system?

I always thought the conventional thinking was (at least according to the 911 Commssion Report) being attacked again wasn't a matter of "if", it was a matter of "when". I'm just wondering WHEN that happens who the left will blame.

Logic would dictate that if you make it easier to do (as was the case during Clinton's reign) it will be easier to do. Obama and our Congress is making it easier to do.

Of course it will be George Bush's fault. It certainly won't be any fault of their own doing.

You know who they will blame it on---Cheney, because he "wished" it.

Panetta owes Cheney an apology, but of course , that wont happen.

With Kim Jung Il firing off Missiles like Roman Candles , and setting off Nuclear explosions like Cherry Bombs, with Ahmanutjob stealing elections so he can build a nuke, with Palestinians frothing at the bit and Israel about to launch an attack. I am surprised Panetta cannot smell that blood in the water and if he doesnt he has no business running the CIA.

I would hope that someone like Panetta could think of at least ONE good reason why someone would criticize the current administration's handling of national security issues OTHER than they want to see innocent people suffer. It sounds like the kind of argument a teenager would make when their reckless driving is criticized by a parent.

"Aw ma, you just want to see me crash, don't you!".

It's actually so ridiculous, I'm stumped as to why Panetta would say such a thing, because I can't believe even the most die-hard Cheney hater thinks he can read minds.

The fact is, the LAST thing you want is a North Korean nuke hitting this country as "proof" of national security failings - you keep criticizing it NOT so you can say "I told you so" but so you never have to say it.

Leave it to a liberal to think saying "I told you so" was his motivation.

Sheesh.
