That was one of the more crass things I've ever read. Good for the libs that nabbed that for posterity and good for HuffPo's rapid takedown.

Had a conservative written something like that, it would have been blasted on the news until the author committed suicide in shame. Don't be looking for any such publicity for Erik Nelson, even though his career should be over after that.

Parents of all political persuasions and beliefs have handicapped children, so how he thought this would be okay and that only conservatives would be targeted is lunacy. Goes to show how venomous and disregarding of any semblance of decency some can be - particularly on the Left.

No I didn't even click on it until I read your post tonight. I figured by the title of his article that he was using the comment she made about Trigg for his own sick & heinous agenda. I was right. I honestly don't think I have the words to describe what I think about him.

What he said really touched a nerve for me, since I have a kid who has "special needs", as they say. But I realize you don't have to have a special needs child to think what he said was beyond the pale.

The reason I said the left is going insane is because anyone who would use something like this as a weapon is sick & twisted - it's like they're insane. They're so afraid of what she stands for and they see the thousands of followers she has STILL. They wouldn't even give her the time of day if they weren't so worried that she will get somewhere. The mere thought of her attaining any level of achievement is just driving them so crazy they can't even see straight.

God forbid that writer ever has to deal with a child who has any kind of handicapping condition. He should be ashamed of himself. It's really hard not to wish something bad on pond scum like that. There has to be a special place in hell just waiting for him.

At the very least, we can do our best to put Palin (or another good conservative) in the WH for 4/8 years; that will have him squirming every day he wakes.
