Rose and Nuck seem to run out of bluster when asked to show their math. I've noticed they've made themselves scarce here lately.

The nugget of interest should be that the increase in minimum wage was buried within the U.S. Troop Readiness, Veterans' Care, Katrina Recovery, and Iraq Accountability Appropriations Act, 2007. Can you imagine the turmoil it would have generated for Bush if he used the Presidential veto?

By the way, Obama voted for this as a Senator so don't say he had absolutely nothing to do with it.

Yep, the Princeton study on fast food. That's the one. And there have been numerous ones with the same conclusion conducted afterward. Yes there were critics. But that's to be expected. And as has been already mentioned---this is an issue that comes up everytime someone asks for higher pay.

If you really believe your premise, then we should have a lot higher unemployment than we do as a direct result of the minimum wage hike prior to this. We don't. End of story.

Something so simple as a basic understanding of supply and demand would crumble most liberals political belief system at it's foundation. You can see Rosehaven's desperate clutching at one flawed study and see that even she knows how close she is to awakening.
