| He has no reason to do it. He knows that if he remains silent, his loyal supporters will re-elect him. If he speaks publicly, the only thing he could do would be to hurt himself. He doesn't care about our opinions - he only cares about getting re-elected, and there are enough stupid people that he's a shoo in. |

| I emailed him, fwiw. Short, sweet and polite. The real problem is that Steny is no longer a 'representative'. He has to back this due to his leadership position. Your opinion is inconsequential. |
